General Purpose: To encourage an ever-deepening relationship with Jesus Christ and to help guide our youth in making decisions based on Christian values.
Teens in grades 9 through 12 whose parents are registered in the parish are invited to join the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Youth Group. Meetings take place on Sunday afternoons from 4:30 - 6:00 PM in the Parish Center Hall from September until May; social and service events are planned for the summer months.
Lessons grow out of group discussions on moral issues, topic-oriented videos, presentations by guest speakers, and weekly Gospel readings. Spiritual retreats, lock-ins, and outside service projects promote a social conscience that is sensitive to the needs of local and world communities. Social events may include lock-ins, bus trips, volleyball and pizza parties.
Youth Group hopes to bring young people to an awareness of God's active constant presence in their lives. It is designed to counter some of the negative influences in a teenager's life.
